Removed ear wax built up.. now i got an ear ache??!

Question: Serious answers only please!!

So this morning i used a Q-tip to clean my ears. That only caused my left ear to be blocked and couldn't hear from that ear. So i used Murine drops which helped clear it out and now i can hear again. But NOW, i have an ear ache!!

Why is that?? And how can i make it go away fast!! If it doesn't get any better i'll see the doctor tomorrow morning.. but i wanna try some home remedies.. please help!

The wax is there to protect the ear. Removing all of it will make the ear very tender and can make you have an earache. No home remedy that I know of. Probably best to let your body do it's thing and not put anything else in your ear. If it does not get better by tomorrow, definitely go to the doctor. good luck

You pressed the wax into your ear and caused a bit of trauma inside the ear.

NEVER use Qtips in your ears.

I always get an ear ache after removing wax build up, take some Tylenol, it should take the pain away.

Go to any drug store or Wal-Mart and get a ear wax removal kit. About $4, and it really works.

Using Q-Tips caused me 2 ear infection last year. I don't put anything smaller than a wash cloth with my finger in my ear anymore.
