Which works better in the desert (Las Vegas) - a warm or cold humidifier?!
Question: Moved to Las Vegas and the dry winter is not too friendly on me at night... I've been told a humidifier would help at night - but not sure if a cold or warm one would work better.

we bought the regular cold one from cvs when we moved to vegas. it worked great.
Cold humidifiers are great where babies and/or small children may be able to get to them because there is no scalding danger from the hot water or steam. However, the need to be sterilized routinely because bacteria will grow and may be ejected in the water vapor.
Hot humidifiers boil the water so there is no bacteria problem, but they are not safe for use around children.
