Does anyone know how to get old medical records from your childhood doctor?!
Question: I'm trying to find out how to get my old medical records from when I was a child. I know the doctor is retired and possibly dead. Is it possible to get these records now?

If the business is still there, you could ask them. However, everytime you went to a new doctor, your files were supposed to be transferred from the old one. If this didn't happen and the specific office no longer exists, they are most likely lost/trashed by now. (I am assuming this was before computer files)
If the office is still open they may have them in storage. You will probably have to sign a form for them to release them to you.
call the office you went to. if the doctor was in a clinc type place. you are allowed to see your own records they can't keep them from you if you can prove you are who is on the records. (or previously were if you got married and changed you name)
