You might want to try something else if Tylenol isn't working, especially if your headaches are intense. Remember that Tylenol is best used for only mild pain or fever. Overdosing won't have a direct effect on your heart but it does on your liver. It's extremely toxic to the liver, which is why they recommend only a certain amount of pills per day. It should tell you on the bottle/insertion how many pills they recommend you take per day. The average pills one takes before one overdoses is individualized, but of course, it is most likely the maximum recommended number of doses stated on the bottle.

As a side note, you should be careful not to take Tylenol for more than 10 days (can also lead to liver toxicity). I would definitely recommend you see a doctor for a more potent prescription.

I take 3 aspirin all the time, I don't think tylenol will hurt either, just don't take more the the recomended for 24 hrs.

Are you a migraine sufferer.Suggest you see a doctor, regardless.Taking more than the recommended dose of any tablet is a no no.They can play havoc with our stomach.Maybe you need a prescribed stronger dose of medication.

Stop! If you are taking more than recommended, it usually means that your body is developing a kind of immunity to it or the drug is targeting smaller problems that exist before it moves to the one that you want it to. First of all, depending on the kinds of pain that you are talking about, you should investigate non-medicinal ways of combating it. For example, body pains such as joint and muscle pains can often be corrected with the help of a physio therapist . If you feel that you can't afford one or don't have the time, research it on line. As far as developing a tolerance for Tylenol, talk to a doctor or pharmacist, neither of which I am by the way, but I am very familiar with dealing with different kinds of pain. By the way, the answer to your question is, it would depend on pre-existing conditions such as overall health and body mass, but you are probably fine with three

Follow directions on container. DO NOT drink alcohol while taking Tylenol. It can cause kidney failure and death.

Tylenol is one of the worst pain medicines to overdose on I believe it is because they are harder on your liver than other medicines, only take two and if it does not work take a couple ibuprofen -not aspirin-.
and if you are building a tolerance try to stop taking them and try some more natural remedies; Coffee, Tea, Zink and rest for a little bit.

I have built a tolerance to pain medicines and it sucks, I am currently trying to overcome my own mistakes.

tylenol is the worst on ur liver my mom had a tylenol / wine habit now she is dying from cirrosis more from the amount of tylenol and bc she was taken according to gi dr than the alcohol i suggest if u arent allergic go for an nsaid like ibuprofen that what works for me tylenol never did it just has least interactions if ur on sumpin else but recommended i think is no more than 8 500 mg tabs in 24 hrs but my dr gave me 800 mg ibupofen for severe headaches it only takes like 1 every 8 hrs or u could get something like excedrin migrane works real good it has caffine, tylenol, and ibuprofen in it
