How long are you in a cast for when you break your ankle/foot?!
Question: I might have broken my ankle or foot (probably) and anyone going for x rays and I am just asking this in case, if I did end up breaking something, how long would I be in a cast?
Plz answer I am going lke tomarrow and it IS most likely broken but anyways plz dont be mean just tell me how long I would have a cast and what would happen after my cast came off.

Nobody knows because it depends on how it is broken so you need to have the docter look at it and he/she will tell you how long. Hope you get better!!!!

i broke my foot 2days ago, it got ran over by a car
i have a pink cast on 4 9 weeks i was then told i will need crutches after that for another week or so
but my bones wer crushed
sometimes if its your foot you get a "walking cast" which u can take off.
but if its a simple break around 6 weeks
a fracture around 4 that is if the think its right to put one on

about 3-4 mounths i just got out of one but it really depends on how bad the impact was.
It depends...a person with a well balanced diet and plenty of protiens will heal faster than a vegeterian.
there was this one guy i knew that was a vegetarian and he broke his ankle skiing one february...he was in a cast for almost a year when the doctor told him he could either eat meat or stay in that cast for the rest of his life...he chose meat.
Rates of healing vary from person to person and from situation. If it's hairline it'd be at least a month but up to 12 weeks depending on your healing rate. But if it's a larger fracture then it'd be 1-5 months for it to heal completely. Remember healing time is different for the leg & foot because you carry your bodies' weight on it.

When I broke my ankle, I spent 8 weeks on crutches and in a cast.
Then they put a walking cast on for 4 more weeks.
Then the Doctor scolded me because "a walking cast DOES NOT mean you should be walking as much as you are."
I then spent ANOTHER 4 weeks on crutches and in a cast.
Followed by another 4 weeks on crutches with a boot thing that I could take off.
It was a rather severe break and I may have been able to shorten my recovery IF I would have agreed to surgery but I cant help but thinking that any time they cut on you, you're NEVER going to be as good as you were.
I still walk with a bit of a limp and by friday afternoons its usually throbbing pretty well but I got tired of them messing with it.

4-6 weeks, but depends on age and type of break
i broke my ankle 4 times and had surgery on it. well i had to have my cast on for like 1 to 2 months. but i guess it really depends on what kind of break u had. if u really wanted to find out u could ask ur doctor!
i broke my ankle from running to much. but cross-country season still had 3 races left. 3 of the biggest races of the season. since i was the teams #1 runner, i kept running and ran the last 3 races. i had to be in a cast for 3 months. Now i have to wear a ankle brace for another 2 months. and can't run again for another 3 months. it depends on how bad you broke your ankle/foot but most likely it will only be 3-4 months. i had to keep mine on a little longer only because i was running on a broken ankle for 3 weeks before i a cast on it.
