PLZ ANSWER THIS QUESTION!? 3 questions about a cast (like a cast for a broke leg!

Question: I probably broke my ankle and anyway thats not my question but Im going to get another x ray tomarrow and if we find I broke something, obviously, I will get a cast. I dont WANT a cast, but if I end up getting one, I really want a pink one.

I have 3 questions:

1. How do they color a cast?
2. Does it take longer to get a color cast than to get a a regular white one?
3. Does the dr. ask if you want a color cast or do you hav to bring it up?

Plz answer, and all HELPFUL and FRIENDLY answers will be appreciated.

I have had 5 or 6 casts.
1. They first put wrapping around your arm (water-proof or not).
2. No, a white one takes the same amount of time. They are pre-colored.
3. You do not have to bring it up, they ask what color you would like.

P.S. Water-proof casts cost more but are so MUCH more convient. You must bring it up usually.

I have had a leg, 5 arm casts.
I may need another one because I tore my ACL and LCL.
I probably need surgery.

they have colored plaster, and most of the time they will ask you what color you want. It take the same amount of time as a white cast.

It's the material that is already colored. It takes the same amount of time as the white one as it is the same material. He should ask you what you want if not then suggest it.

they put colour in plaster of paris to make it coloured
2 no if they have colored ones u can get it soon enough provided they do give pink ones
3 u have to ask......ask till its recieved ...if u dont get the one and get a white one...and ur parents agreee with a white one.....well paint it pink.......

I broke my arm once. I'm not sure how they color the cast, but I remember they just took this cloth or whatever it is and put it in hot water and wrapped it around my arm. It gets hard pretty quick. Adding a color really doesn't make any difference or add any time. It may just be dye for all I know, and they will give you choices of colors!

1. The cast materials come in rolls of precolored Fiberglass

2. It doesn't take any more time than a white cast would.

3. Typically they ask what your color preferences is.

Hopefully you wont need the cast! Good luck!
