Ibuprofen, ice and heat. Interval the ice and heat every 20 minutes. Don't try to stretch it out too much otherwise it can aggravate what you may have stressed already. Ibuprofen takes the inflammation down.

take an advil, and if you have a heating pad use that too

ummmmmmmm take Ibeprophen until the stiffness goes away. Heating pad or small neck pillow will also help.

yeh

its wry neck, it can happen overnight and just last for a day or even many days. it can be caused by a number of muscles in your back, neck arm shoulder chest, so its hard to find exactly where its coming from. i had wry neck when i was younger, i couldnt move my neck at all for like 2 days and i had just slept funny on it. heating pads and ice didnt work and just taking a regular dose of asprin didnt work. i even went to a chiropractor and my physical therapist. my doc had me take 16, YES 16! pills of regular asprin. but the pain was gone and never came back. it was wierd and even the pharmacist was like, "cant that kill her" but he gave it to me anyway. and it worked like a charm!

There's an acupressure point halfway between your neck and the point of your shoulder. It feels like a little valley between two muscles, along the line of your shoulder. Apply firm pressure with your finger. If you've got the right spot, the pain disappears. Once you find the spot, don't stop applying pressure - continue for 7-10 seconds, ease up, and press down again. Do this two more times, and you should have about 20 minutes relief. Repeat the pressure again, and you may either lose the pain altogether or at least relieve it for a couple of hours.

I use acupressure to relieve pain until medication kicks in, but many people use it instead of taking pills. It's great, and completely natural!
