What Is The Best Way To Treat Back Pain?!

Question: heat packs, rest, and tylenol

try this:
Fill a gym sock up with dry rice

Tie off the end

Microwave it for 1 min. on high

Check to make sure it's not too hot

Apply to sore area

Re-heat as needed

Don't throw it away after you use it. You can use it for months as long as the rice doesn't get wet.

First back pain is a SYMPTOM! Therefore you need to see a Doc and see what is causing this symptom. Once you find the CAUSE, you can help yourself. Good Luck

rest . light stretches and aleve or advil

back pain can be a symptom of something else and usually it is but its also possible to injure the structure of the back itself. talk to your doctor about possible causes and where exactly it hurts. if they are good they will be able to refer you to another specialist that can help you better. only a mediocre doctor will tell you to stay off it for awhile without suggesting alternate treatment. just keep that in mind.

Two things are correct in some of these answers,
1. You need to find out the WHY of your back pain.
Is it due to a particular movement or accident ect...
2. Back pain is a SYMPTOM; meaning, as the result of something else.
In any case you need to see a doctor and see one that won't just blow you off. Back pain could even be a symptom of a urinary tract infection. SO, as you see, you need to rule out the WHY of your back pain. If the doctor tells you its something like a strain or a sprain, follow his/her advice. Massage can help as well as exercises.
In good health

Lay on the floor and put your legs up in a chair or on the coffee table. Lay this way for about half an hour. The L shape in this position opens up any pinched nerve in your low back. This will help low back pain.

If it is mid back sit in a chair with arms and raise yourself up on your elbows to elongate your back to pop a vertebrae into place.

If it is in your neck. Stand against the wall (about 10 inches from the wall) and bridge with the back of your head away from the wall. Do this numerous times, slightly adjusting your position each time to work the neck muscles.

If you have a vibrator, lay on it and vibrate the painful location.

Of course take 2 Excedrin to start with.

Hot shower & place a heating pad behind you & sit up in a firm chair & take couple of Advil
