Does Canada's health care system vary from province to province?!

Question: I recently hurt my foot and I'm thinking it might be broken, so I want to go to the hospital to get it checked out. My only concern is that I'm currently living (as a student) in Ontario, but my health care card is from New Brunswick (where I'm from and often return for holidays/breaks). So my question is: will I be covered here in Ontario with my New Brunswick health care card? Or am I only covered within my home province?
Thank you!

Normally, any Canadian with health insurance from one province use it in any other province as long as he doesn't live there. It's a little bit more complicated for students, but you are still covered. You might just have to send them some proof of enrollment.
