I've been really tired all of a sudden and i have no idea why?!

Question: Over the last couple of years, i've been an avid gamer, therefore was up till about 4am on the weekends without feeling tired, but recently (about a month or two) I feel kinda tired. Im not sure it its boredom or if its just something in general, i feel like i wanna stay up, but end up getting tired if i try

I hope you already stopped your staying late routine. Sleeping late will only mess up your internal clock, which is essential because cell cycle relies on internal clock. Without a proper timing, cells don't know when is the right time to clean up the badly made DNA. These bad stuff accumulate over time and it can lead to diseases like cancer, not including body aging. Recent study has shown that people who stay up late due to lifestyle and work have higher chance of getting cancer later in life.

You feel tire now because you need to make of the lost hours of sleep to resume the normal "housekeeping" functions that you missed.

I know how you feel about staying up late, there's no study to show that it's addictive, but to me personally staying up is very addictive. I used to procrastinate and study all night for tests, and then the next few days I didn't feel like sleeping at all, even I didn't have anything else to do. Try doing intense stuff like reading some extremely boring dense literature after a full dinner to coax your mind to sleep early and get back on the normal sleeping schedule.

Good luck.

Your body seems simply to be telling you to get more sleep. As well as gaming do you get fresh air and exercise? Surprisingly lack of exercise can make you feel tired. See if you feel better after some earlier nights, if not it might be worth a visit to your GP.

try yoga
