How hard is it to explain how painful kidney stones are?!

The top 3 pains are said to be childbirth, kidney stones and heart attack in no particular order. Kidney stones are so painful that you vomit and crawl about to escape the pain.
i have been told they are alot like birth pain
the worst pain i've ever had is period pain. at one stage it was so bad i was in hospital on morphine once a month. the nurses and doctors had never seen anything like it and i would go into shock from the pain so they had to treat me for that too.
thankfully it's not so bad now but i've had a kidney infection which was pretty bad so i can't imagine how kidney stones would feel i put lemon juice in my water which is supposed to prevent them i hope it works!
As a fellow sufferer of kidney stones, I hear ya! The pain is beyond excruciating - I was always told that it is the male equivalent to the female childbirth thing, but thats bollox. I have had to have morphine when I was passing a stone from ureter to bladder and when I eventually pee'd it out, it was like rubbing the end of your (well you know) over broken glass.
On Seinfeld TV show, Kramer passed a kidney stone in a circus and yelled so loud that the the guy fell off the tightrope.
But here is the worst for men. If they urinate in the Amazon river a parasite swims up into their thing. They attach themselves inside with sharp hooks. Before they learned how to remove them, men would have their THING cut off since they hurt so bad.
There is an herb from the Amazon called stone breaker since it dissolves kidney stones.
I have had them too - so completely agree with you!! They reckon it is one of the worst pains you can have!!
I had a kidney stone, believe me the pain ISSSSSSSSSSSS horrendous. Worse than giving birth and I was in labour for 28 hours with my first child!
Anyone who has ever witnessed or treated patients with kidney stones will know how painful they are so they shouldnt need much of an explanation. Simply looking at a genuine sufferer writhing on the floor in absolute agony with or without the occasinal vomiting will say a lot more than words .
HI Icequeen. One can never fully explain the pain there are feeling, whether it be pain of the body or pain of the heart. One can not imagine the pain unless they suffer it them selves. You can write pages and pages of how you feel, but people will never fully comprehend. Each see pain differently, each deal with it differently, I had two heart attacks in two years, but because you are walking on your feet, people seem to think that it was not as bad as one tries to explain. Pain is a personal suffering and therefore no one really wants to understand. Best wishes, Peter
My GP stated Kidney Stones are akin to giving birth without any medical intervention! I did not know what to say?
