1. Direct pressure
2. Elevate
3. If it still doesn't stop, you'll have to apply pressure to your Femoral artery (on the side of your leg, towards where your groin meets your leg)

Make sure you're up to date on your tetanus shots and you'll be good to go!

Hope I helped!

Yeah it'll be okay! I do that all the time and yes it does bleed a bit but you'll be fine!

No! Call 911 right now! Hurry!

Once I shaved off multiple layers of skin on my leg. You will be fine. Wait for it to stop bleeding and throughly wash it, don't let it get infected. My friend got a cut on her leg while shaving and ended up getting a staph infection. There is a lot of bacteria on the blades. So wash it multiple times a day and keep it covered until it forms a scab or goes away. If it's painful after a couple days see a doctor about it.

why are you scared?? i dont' get it. every girl at one time or another cuts her leg while shaving. a small knick won't cause you to lose enough blood to kill you, or even weaken you. unless you cut into a major artery in which case you would probably already be dead.

As long as it isn't like spurting out blood then yes. I always get little cuts.

Hell, I practicall lose a litre of blood when I shave.... just jk....

It's nothing.... just hold a tissue to it.... use some neosporin or polysporin to help it heal...

It may take a while for bleeding to stop. I usually just tape the tissue to my leg with scotch tape, seems to do the trick

You'll be fine, that happens to me sometimes too. Put a band-aid on and It'll heal Just fine.

hi you wan't bleed 2 death!!!! get your self a jar of paw paw ointment (not very expensive) and if it happens again (which it will) just apply some ointment.. it is great stops bleeding!!! and prevents infection :)

no one ever had any side affects from a shaving injury, except maybe a tiny scar. you need to calm down. i cut my self often enough shaving, and even though it hurts like crazy, the most you'll need for it is a bandaid. the only thing worse that cutting the back of your knee is cutting your armpit, or getting razorburn there. trust me, you feel like dying

You will be OK.
Just do what you are doing then when the bleeding has stopped put some Neosporin on it and a bandage. Remember to be careful and don't shave it off again!
Also, change your blade (you can cut your self more easily when your blade is dull).
Good luck!

Yes you will be fine, keep it clean and you will be okay.

You'll be fine =]. For some reason, shaving cuts always seem to bleed quite badly and for a long period of time, basically because they are surface scrapes as oposed to just a cut that you might get while cutting food with a knife. Apply pressure to the area. Dont be too hard but be firm. Do this for about 10 mins and check. Still bleeding? Another 10 mins should stop it. After that, clean the area with some antiseptic cream or some soap and water. Apply a bandaid if you like, but its not necessary. Dont worry about it too much, shaving cuts are minor but they make out like the are major and thats why people start to worry

yes, more blood than damage... trust me, done that before.
