Can I take 2 flexerils?!

Question: My doctor prescribed me 10mg flexerils. The bottle says take 1 tablet three times daily. They dont help with my pain much...they take the edge off a little bit so I think if I took two instead of one it will work better. I know they make you sleepy but I am at home & dont have to be driving or working for a few days so do you think it will hurt me if I took 2? I would ask my doc but its sunday and the office is closed. Thank you!

Call your doctor and tell him that the Flexiril are not helping. He should be available on Sunday, call. In the mean time, how about a couple Ibuprofen?

Yes, but don't drive or operate heavy machinery

20mg won't hurt you but it's really not a good idea to start self medicating.
But I admit I have doubled up on my meds a few times but never more than once in awhile.

I take pain meds daily for a spine injury so I have can't take more than the bottle says or I would run in to the problem of running out of medication. That's when taking narcotics becomes a problem.

So do yourself a favor and try real hard not to take more than prescribed

They dont help much with your pain, because they are "Muscle-Relaxers". And NO, dont ever take more than you are directed to. Why do you think it says "Take 1-3x a day"? because they want you to take six? very dangerous game your playing, one day you wont wake up playing with meds.

Flexeril is a muscle relaxer not a pain medication.

Symptoms of overdose may include severe drowsiness, fast heartbeat, slurred speech, hallucinations, chest pain, seizures, increased muscle stiffness with fever and sweating,
