I CANT GO TO SLEEP!! pleeease help?!


Question: whenever, where ever i cannot sleep until like 3 or 4 in the morning!!!
even if i pull an all nighter in order to be sleepy to go to bed early the next day, i just cant sleep!
i considered taking sleeping pills, but i didnt feel comfortable with it
is there any ideas to help me go to sleep fast??
i might have restless leg syndrome because i always feel like i have to move my legs when i go to sleep, and i do. i alway move around for an hour or two after i go to bed, but dont sleep. i dont feel comfortable in my bed!! i changed the matress 3 times an even changed the size of the bed to queen, then twin. what the hell is wrong with me?? I JUST CANT GET COMFORTABLE IN MY OWN BED!! ITS SO FRUSTRATING!! PLEEEEASE HELP!! DESPERATE!!

I have a few suggestions for you. If you've been doing a lot of exercise then slow down or stop it for a while. Your body is overstressed. Start taking a multiple vitamin. Eat nutritious foods (forget about any diets if you're doing those). Drink milk, it will calm you and your legs. You need B vitamins. Then you need a quiet room that's away from the radio, tv and computer. You've done so many changes to your body (changing beds, changing sleep time) that you've confused your body. There are calming teas you can drink. Cool or warm milk will relax your body (also use it before you go to the dentist as it calms pain). You can stop drinking soft drinks and a lot of sugar. You can stop any loud noise, loud music and anything that excites you. Is your room aired out and slightly cool when you sleep, I suggest that.

I've occasionally used sleep tapes. Now the minute the tape starts I'm asleep, and never hear the rest of the tape. Sleep is a matter of training yourself. You will be hyper if you don't get enough sleep or enough good REM sleep. Do NOT get hooked on sleeping pills. Frankly they're dangerous because they cause sleep walking.

What's wrong with you? The answer is you're stressed out. Start a journal. Write, and write, and write till you've expressed all your thoughts, even during the night. When you're weary from doing that tell yourself you've written all you can, and you won't forget anything, and then tell your brain it's time to sleep. Then relax yourself starting at your feet, and then tell each part of your body that it should rest now, and by the time you get to your neck you should be asleep.

safe dose of sleeping pills... or go see the doctor.. you might have sleeping disorder

You think too much. you should just relax, ON some relaxing music like Michael Buble(home*recommended*), and no rock or metal or what so ever and just relax. Don't think about anything else and just close your eyes and relax.

have some problems that bother
just don't think about it and go
straight to sleep....
or sleep just for one hour in the morning
and i'm sure you'll get very sleepy in the evening

when it comes bed time have someone punch you in the head really really hard, that should put you out for a fair few hours.

try exercising in the evening, reading a book before you go to bed and try doing math in ur head

get another person in your bed with you. when i sleep with my gf, we have sex, and then crash out so quickly and just give up on that day. we both sleep straight away and wake up very refreshed. you may not have that option, but it definitely works. i sometimes can't sleep well some nights, but after sex, its very very easy.

You need to settle your brain down before you try to sleep. get off the computer an hour before you go to bed. try taking a bath, drinking warm milk, reading a book. If you can't sleep then don't just lie in bed, doing that trains your body and mind to think its okay to be awake in bed.. get up a read until your tired enough to sleep. I find an extra soft latex mattress and fluffy pillows help. Also make sure the room is the right temperature as its hard to sleep if you are too hot or cold. hope this helps.

It takes me a long while to to go to bed.
I suggest taking a warm bath.
Not watching tv or drinking coffe or water for 1 hour before bed.
Have a drink of hot chocolate.
And listen to calming music.

Drink a glass of water water or milk before going to bed
Reading a book or listening to soothing music
take deep breaths and free your mind of all thoughts
wash your feet with luke water

Never
Eat just before going to bed
Talk over the phone just before gping to bed
sleep in the morning or afternoon

i think that if you cant sleep that bad you should go to the docters and explain to them that your not sleeping. they should give you something for it. the reason you cant sleep is probably because you have alot on your mind, before you go to bed try to clear your mind by thinking about something happy when you were younger.

This thing happened to me aswell so i asked my grandmother about it she said that every night before going to bed drink a glass of milk which be of normal temperature and when u wud go to bed u would have a good nights sleep........!Try it !!!!! It really works.

Girl, you definitely need a GUY in your bed to keep you all nice and warm at night and to relieve your darn stress! So how about less talking and more "doing!?" You go girl! =<)

Go see yout DOCTOR..............that is the best solution.... !!!

well i basic ally have the same problem but i use pills and it might not be the all nature thing to do but it help a lot

i use the allergy medicine like night time soft gels there the only thing that i found that can put me to sleep and it work pretty fast like in about 25-30 mins

You should see your doctor because you may have restless leg syndrome.

However, I've had terrible insomnia off and on for years and one of the things I use that is non-perscription is something called "Sleep Assure" - you can buy it in a health food store.

ALSO Melatonin pills work great too - you can buy these anywhere like Wallgreens, Walmart, some grocery stores. It's not just a "sleepy" pill - it works with your brain to make it sleepy - resets your internal clock.

Try the Melatonin first - it's usually in the vitamin/pharmacy section. They are not expensive - maybe $5 for a bottle.

Benadryl will make you sleepy too - but I always found it didn't work well enough for me when I'm that stressed out.
