2nd degree burn on upper lip...from facial hair dye? please help!?!
Question: Yesterday morning I used this hair bleach for your face and now I have two really bad burns on my upper lip! I've been using aloe gel and vitamin E. Will the burns go away!? How long will it take! What should I do? Thank you!

As Amanda said, it is a Chemical burn. Treat as follows:
1. Stop the burning process: Remove all remaining bleach!
2. Rinse the area for 15-20 minutes in cool water
3. Apply a sterile dressing
(as an EMT, we don't carry burn cream, but this is probably what they would do at the hospital)

you left it on tooooo long , leave it alone ,dont put anything on it , let it air out and dry , it can stay there for as long as a week. but if you keep putting stuff on it , it will only get worse...next time only leave the bleach on for a short amount of time and if it starts to burn remove right away
Well, if it was from hair bleach, that means that it is a chemical burn. I suggest that you see a doctor. If the burn is second degree (characterized by blistering and/ or leaking of fluid from the wounds NOT LIKE SUNBURN) that means that the chemicals could have gotten into your blood stream. The doctor can determine if anything got into your system and what the best course of treatment will be for your situation. BTW, aloe is very good for soothing burns but hold off until you get a doctor's take on it. There might be some scarring depending on how bad the blisters are. It might take some time to heal but there are medications that can help them heal faster and more efficiently.
