Hi dislocated knee cap please help me i am worrie?!

Question: on the 8th january i dislocated my knee cap and i was left in that position for about 3 hours, i was taken to the hospital and they PUT IT BACK and they gave me a plaster for the bottom part of my leg so; i could not bend my knee as it was painfull,
Then on the 15th i went back to the doctors, still with the plaster on and they took it off, left me for about 15 minutes and then this doctor came and he said "you can trust me, i am going to bend your knee very very slowly and tell me when it hurts too much ok? " and well it was too painfull when they tried to bend my knee so, they gave me this thing for my leg called a BRACE and i still need to go for my MRI test around tuesday and then i am going to the doctors
Now what will happend with me ?
Will i have surgery? has this happened to you?
if so how did it happen and
what did they do to you and
how did it work out?
Thank you very much, for taking your time to read all about my terrible accident

After the MRI, the doctor and radiologist will read it. If it looks like everything is in place and healing, then things are good. you may have to wear the brace longer and/or go to physical therapy. If things are not healing well, or have move out of place, then surgery is a possibility, but don't worry too much, often knee surgery is minor now and heals quickly. This happened to my husband. He did have minor surgery, and he was fine within a couple months. The doc said it could have gone the other way with no surgery if he had heald better. Hope that's how it goes for you!

You may have done some other tendon or ligament damage to your knee, the MRI should let you know what's going on. Don't be afraid to ask you doctor questions, it's his job to answer them and let you know what's going on with your knee. If you don't understand the answers say so.

i wouldn't worry about it

the doctors are only doing what's best for you

you're inn safe hands

they wouldn't do anything that wasn't neccissary

good luck
