Funny Sleeping Habits?!

Question: My boyfriend twitches and has spasms constantly when he first falls asleep....it usually last for about 1/2 an hour to an hour. It's almost like he's having a mild seizure, but I can wake him up and he's completely coherent (just kind of grumpy, lol). He's not fidgeting, it's like his muscles are jerking and twitching involuntarily. It's not just his legs, either, its his arms and rest of his body. It keeps me awake and I can't fall asleep until he's in a really deep sleep, unless I go and sleep on the couch. It really is THAT bad. If he gets woken up in the middle of the night, it starts ALL over again. It seems to only happen when he is first falling asleep. He also grinds his teeth-really loudly. I'm not sure if that's related or not, but he does that, too.Do you think he has a sleep disorder? Has anyone ever heard of this? What can he do to help solve this?
Please help me, I haven't had an uninterrupted night's sleep in like 2 years.

The grinding of the teeth is also a problem to be concerned about. He needs to se a general practitioner and maybe they will send him to a sleep lab...so he can be monitored while he sleeps. Good luck.

It is a deficiency , best he consults a Physician.

what about it the rest of the day, does his hands shake involuntarily, ?? ( try to know by makin him hold a paper )

does he drink milk ,? or eat anything with calcium in it, ? what am trying to say if he is fine the rest of the day, no problem, if he still twitches during the day too, maybe it is a beginning of over excitablity,

try giving him milk be4 sleep :)

oh i really feel wut u do. yes i have heard n seen a bit like tis wz my bf. he doesnt grind the teeth though. hetalks sumtimes in his sleep n trust me, its funny. he wud snore like crazy n wdnt sleep for months at night.
