How to prevent heartburn?!
Question: My family has a history of heartburn. And I am 18 years of age and I wonder how can I prevent from having heartburn later on in life.

- Never over fill your stomach
-avoid (or take in moderation) heart burn triggers like: alcohol; beverages containing caffeine, such as coffee, tea and cola drinks; carbonated beverages; citrus fruits and juices; tomatoes and tomato sauces; chocolate; spicy and fatty foods.
- Don't eat within two to three hours before bedtime.
- If you're overweight, lose the extra pounds.
- Elevate your head a few inches while you sleep.
You can place bricks, blocks or anything that's sturdy securely under the legs at the head of your bed. You can also use an extra pillow, or a wedge-shaped pillow, to elevate your head.
-Don't wear belts or clothes that are tight fitting around the waist.
-Stop smoking or don't smoke
drinking milk stops my hart burn as soon as you have a meal have half a glass of milk =] hope it helps =]
