Can Dr. inject steroids into my foot?!

Question: I've had awful foot cramps when I run for a while now... I don't think it's plantar fleshitis because it's only after I run. Can a dr just inject steroids in my foot for me so the muscels can bulk up?

They can give steroid injections into the joints, but they probably won't until they have investigated the problem and know exactly which of 40 joints is causing the problem. And it would be to relieve acute pain, not to bulk up the muscles.

Steroid injections do have their risks - you don't want it to go wrong and prevent you from ever walking again.

I honestly don't think, any doctor would inject steroids into your foot. You might just want to get it checked out, and see what they'll do for you.

They'll inject corticosteroids for the pain but I don't think that beefs up the tendons and ligaments in the feet.
