Any tips on ways to fall asleep easier?!

Question: Apparently when I go to sleep everything bothers me. Noise, lights, comfortability (or lack of), temperature, etc. (it's more than likely because I recently quit smoking marijuana at night, lol). It's giving me the hardest time. Any suggestions? I heard chugging NyQuil works great...

I wouldn't recommend chugging NyQuil if you don't have a cold. Don't drink anything with caffeine before you go to bed, including coffee, alcohol, or chocolate. Don't eat anything that would give you energy.. such as granola bars, peanuts, whatever. Basically, don't eat anything or drink anything because it alerts your body. What works for me is to watch tv right before you go to bed. I always fall asleep soon because it makes me tired.. I don't know why, maybe because it strains your eyes and you get tired that way. Or read a book. I know it sounds boring but basically get yourself in a sleep mode. For some people listening to peaceful music gets them to sleep (however I never do this). Also, find things you like and don't like. Find out if you like some lights on, or some lights off. Experiment with temperature. I also heard that drinking warm milk can help you fall asleep quicker.. don't know how great warm milk tastes though. good luck. (and congrats on quitting marijuana.. hope you're not smoking it during the day either)

Smoke a joint, you'll have dreamless sleep all night long, trust me it never fails. Report It
