Heart palpatations...?!

Question: I went to the doctor for a check-up and told him that I have heart palpatations often. He dismissed it. Is this normal?

monitor it... if it gets "worse" go back to the dr. If he seems unbothered by it, ask him/her why? Have the dr. explain it to you.

i have the same thing and no Dr i have ever told has said to be worried so i don't worry about it, i am otherwise totally healthy
i'm not sure if this is normal

it's only abnormal if it starts really becoming noticeable and frequent. i'm pretty sure we all have heart irregularities from time to time.

if it's really bothering you, and you think it needs to be checked out, tell the doctor to refer you to a cardiologist, regardless of his dismissal. they'll put your mind at ease. stress and worry aren't good for the ticker!

Palpitations are the unpleasant sensations of irregular or forceful beating of the heart in the chest. In some patients with palpitations, no heart disease or abnormal heart rhythms can be found.

Consider how much of that might be caused by caffeine.
