Getting on a Sleep Schedule?!

Question: I eat well, exercise plenty, but one thing I can't hammer into my lifestyle no matter how hard I try is getting to bed when I want to, and keeping it that way. Sometimes I will just lie in bed for hours, even with the TV and everything off, just trying to get to sleep and focus on that.

The worst part is, I will stay awake even when there is absolutely NOTHING left to do for the day, and NOTHING is on TV, but I just find some stupid reason to stay awake. Like "Oh, x show is on in an hour, I will have to stay awake through an hour of nothingness to see that, even when I don't really care about it."

Help?

First invest in a radio with a snooze button. Second search the airways to see what boring program is being broadcast, not music something like a radio documentary or book at bedtime. Then go to bed, put the snooze on for one hour and listen to the boring radio and you will be off before you know it. My other favorite, Immunology! Invest in a Medical Students Immunology Book, it sends me to sleep faster than any drug! Good Luck

just pack urself entirely in a blanket and make the room dark.. most probably its the lighting that is not allowing you to sleep.. so just creat a room filled with darkness and close ur eyes...or the best way is to take a book and start reading lying on bed.. and concentrate deeply...and try to understand every line of it...the Thinking so deeply makes u feel drowsy...

Do you wake yourself up once you start sleeping? If so, you might have a sleep disorder and you might need to see a doctor. If you just have a hard time falling asleep, but not sleeping, it's doubtful you have a sleeping disorder. You might just need a non-habit forming agent like unpasteurized farm milk or Valerian root.
