The glass tore through your skin and it probably got infected when you took it out and played with it with a needle. My suggestion: clean it with hydrogen peroxide, apply an antibiotic cream and then put a bandage on it. If it doesn't start to clear up within a couple days, see a doctor.

It is possible that you still have a sliver of glass in your foot. It would be best if you go to the doctor. They can do an x-ray and see if there is glass in there. You don't want to mess around and get infection or abcess..

Yep sounds like you still have a bit of glass in there. Yeah I know it is painful, but it is going to continue to hurt until you get it out. There are some topical anesthetics available over the counter you can buy that can help some with the pain of digging around in there to get it out. I would try to find someone that has a steady hand, good vision, and honestly will not stop even if you are in pain (As cruel as it sounds). If you still can not get it out then go to the doctor who will be able to numb your foot up and remove the foreign body. Good Luck, and happy hunting!! ;-)

Glass is really hard to see and get out, I would soak my foot in a bath of warm water with Epsom Salts. It will draw infection and may cause the glass to start to work itself out

I think I would try Bandit and Jasmine's ideas before I went to see a doctor. If that doesn't work, then I would go see a doctor.

Get of the computer and get down to your local doctors asap!!

OUCH that makes me cringe i stepped on glass once it didnt go in my foot but it cut it and i hopped back home wailing in pain (my aunt lives on the corner and across the street and i thought it would be ok to go meet her halfway BAREFOOT bad idea) i was maybe 10 then but you need to see a dr and get an x-ray which im sure will indicate if there is still glass in your foot if so if it is not to far lodged (which i highly DOUBT it is) they can numb your foot and get it out sorry to say doing that you MIGHT need a few stitches but im not sure just stay off it and have someone take you to the er as soon as you possibly can get there i think that is all that will take the pain away is getting it out if its in there and if its not im sure the drs will tell you what to do for it

If you think there may still be a piece of glass in your foot, I have an old fashioned remedy that will work. Use Epsom Salts. Just take a teaspoon full of Epsom's salts and add just enough water to it to make it "pasty". Put it on a gauze pad or a folded up paper towel. Use medical tape, or whatever you have available to attach it to your foot. Do it every day, for about 4 to 5 days. That's usually the longest it will take to draw out a fresh sticker. Sometimes less time, sometimes more. That's what Epsom salts does, it draws out embedded objects and/or infections. One of Grandma's under rated cures. It has always worked for me when I remember to do it every day.
