Is the medical system in U.S really bad as shown in "sicko".?!

Question: I watched the movie SICKO. I don't particularly like Michael Moore (what a *slob*) and I think he makes the socialized health care systems in Cuba, Canada, and France sound more rosy than they really are, but he's on the money when it comes to how stupid our own system is. I've been in the emergency room a few times, and it just seems dead wrong to me that when you walk in bleeding all over the place, the very first thing the hospital does is send you to the billing department and worry about how they're going to get paid, before they even consider treating you. And if you don't have insurance and pay out of your own pocket, they treat you like shi+ and even try to bill you multiple times for the same procedure. Moore's right when he says that health insurance companies are the only businesses that profit by not serving the customer - they're happy to take your monthly payments, but God forbid you actually need them for something serious, they WILL try to make up reasons not to pay.
