All piercings hurt, it's just part of it. Tongue is bearable, though. It's a second or two of really intense pain, and then just a general soreness for awhile, which some people don't mind at all. The main problem with a tongue piercing is that you can't eat for awhile, and constant mouthwash is a must. It takes a few days to heal, and in that time you have to keep your mouth as clean as possible. A good tattoo/piercing parlor will go through everything with you.

Heck yes piercing your tongue hurts. Piercing ur ears doesn't hurt at all unless you're talking about the upper part of your ear.

It's not that bad. Just eat soft food for the first couple days and take advil for the swelling. I ate a hamburger the day after so you'll be fine.

I think it depends on the person. I've gone with 3 of my friends to get their tongues pierced and one of them yelled and banged his feet against the table and the other 2 just kinda flinched. They say it does hurt for about the first week but not as bad as people say it does.

Nah, I was gonna, but then my cousin got hers done. It got all infected and swollen and she couldn't eat for three days. She was surprisingly resistant in taking it out...

That put me off the whole idea. I got a tat instead =P

The initial pinch doesn't really hurt but it is a challenge eating for a couple of days. I really wouldn't recommend it though. You have a risk of infection and chipping your teeth and it gets on your nerves real quick.

I've known quite a few people that have had it done, including my husband. They all said the worst part was the tongs that hold your tongue out rather than the actual needle. But yeah it doesn swell up for a few days and you do have to get used to it when you eat. And it does hurt if you accidentily bite it with your teeth.

Tongue piercing is very dangerous.

Do you want to end up with impaired speech or a speech impediment?
