Is cracking my knuckles really bad for me or is it just a myth?!

Question: I crack my knuckles a lot. So I was wondering if it really IS bad for my knuckles. If so, is there a way to repair the damege?

From a nurse/health and medical teacher, it does not damage you unless you hear and feel a grinding. the pop sound is only nitrogen between your bones being released

It's not good for you

yes

My mom always told me that your fingers will fall off.

If you crack them EVERYDAY
It could lead to Arthritis

my mom always told me it causes arthritis..

It's bad for you alright it leads to Arthritis. I'm not entirely sure if you can fix what's already been done but STOP NOW!

you can get chondritis

which is an inflammation of the caritlage in between your knuckles and the rest of your fingers but his takes months too happen

well, its tiny air bubbles that is what is popping. i have been popping mine for 20ish years and i cant go a day with out popping them cause they will ache. but some say you could rhumatoid arthritis. but i dont know is that is a fact or not.

It gives arthritis and when you're old you won't be able to move your fingers anymore and then they'll turn all swollen and horrible and hurt like hell. Then you'll wish that you had never cracked your knuckles because nothing can be done about it...

ok, cracking your knuckles is not bad for you as long as you dont do it like every hour like i used to, i have been cracking my knuckles for over 3 years and my fingers/knuckles are fine. although it is proven then eventually excessive cracking can lead to arthritis. hope this helps

Ok, if you want the truth. If you are young it doesn't do much to you. But later on in life it can lead to arhteritus and it weakens your grip. So it is bad for you, but not at a young age. Just try not to get addicted
