I get light headed when i stand in one spot for more than 4 hours..is there some!
Question: i work 3rd shift and i have to stand in one spot for 8 hours. last night i started to get light headed an hour before my shift ended. but that has happened b4 at home. i was wondering if it had something to do with me not having anything to drink while i was at work or nothing to eat since 6 pm. i go to work at 11pm-7am. someone told me that could have been the problem....any help?

I work shift too 6am - 6pm two days and 6pm - 6am two days. I get the same problem. We get a fifteen minute break every two hours and I make sure I eat something little (one peice of fruit, half a sandwich etc), drink plenty of water and walk a bit. When at my station I do squats, walking on the spot just to change tack a bit. If I don't do this then I get lightheaded too. Make sure that you get protein too - nuts, dairy products, meat, beans, eggs.
you need to eat...bring snacks water maybe move around a bit... you body is prob wanting some food..
yeah u gotta eat, and def consume fluids..
water definetly if ur working in a warm environment...
and even some sugar to keep ur energy levels up..
try not to stress about it too much.. its pretty normal when ur stomach is running on empty!
