Hi Sierra,

If it is hard to sit at times and better others, or if your pain comes and goes then don't worry. It may feel bad but most likely it is nothing major.

Back pain is a combination of tight muscles (which causes most of your pain) weak muscles (that allow tight ones to occur) and joint disruption (joints not moving correctly).

Combined your back pain occurs, but will fluctuate if each of these is not major. The abdominal pain may be due to some bowel irritation (your lower back and bowel are related) or your abdominal muscles trying to compnesate for the lower back pain.

Back pain should usually settle by itself within a week. If not you may be aggravating it by just doing your day to day activities. But it may be advisable to use a few techniques your self to help ease the pain and then if it doesn't settle either email me or seek help.

There is a link below with some techniques you can use (free), but if it doesn't settle quickly, have it checked. But don't worry, 99% of the time it is minor issues.

I had the same problem a few months ago. I pulled a major muscle in my back and by constantly moving and working it couldn't heal. I went to my family physician who's also a DO and he manipulated my back and ordered bed rest for a few days. This worked for me.

Is it time for your period? Or sometimes you might pull a muscle.

I suffer from this too, turns out that I have facet disease. Look it up. Definitely go see your doctor, get some x-rays, mri's, whatever it takes. Maybe it's something as "simple" as a pulled muscle, but you won't know until you have it looked at.

Most cases of simple backache respond to pain relief measure like rest, aspirin and the application of heat applied by hot water or heating pad. In cases where pain persists or becomes more acute, a physician should be consulted. He may also locate a slipped disk or other abnormality in the alignment of the vertebrae of the spine and he may recommend pain relief treatments that is best for you back condition. for more tips about back pain management visit http://www.reliefmd.com
