Could a "flat" foot result in serious ankle pains?!
Question: my feet are very very flat, almost no arch at all. i went to a foot doctor and he said that it's a possibility but he never said for sure. i sometimes have severe ankle/foot pains and i sometimes almost fall when it starts hurting and i can put any pressure on it.

Vey much so!!! My sister had the flattest of feet and would be almost in tears by the end of the day because her ankles hurt so badly. She tried everything for them--- nothing worked, so she ended up having to get surgery on both feet and have titanium screws implanted to lift her arches. Now, no pain! I strongly urge you to see a doctor for the pain, it can be awful! Good luck, I hope they find an easier, cheaper way to ease your pain!
YES YES YES....DO I KNOW I'M FLAT FOOTED AND I HAVE TO GET INSERTS TO STOP THE PAIN IN MY ANKLE..
Yes its possible. Its even possible to have knee, hip and back troubles from poorly aligned feet. Orthotic devises (arch supports) that you wear in your shoes can help with the problem.
My daughter had this problem, and between the podiatrist and the chiropractor we got the problem sorted.
Did you ever twist your ankle as a kid?
It could be something to do with the achilis (sp?) tendon that runs from your heel up the calf of your leg.
You may need an ace bandage around your ankle for support. Please, continue seeing a podiatrist about this situation.

same as me my doctor made me stand like i would normally and she said i have flat feet and had to get inserts like dr.scholls and now my ankle pains have stopped inserts really work
yes it's possible. I have flat feet and it bothers my feet when the arches of my shoes are not good.
