I tell people that it is a neuro-muscular disorder that causes widespread aches and pain, but usually people can't imagine the kind of pain that I feel on a daily basis. I describe the pain as having the flu all the time, or like every fiber of my body is screaming. It is hard to describe to others, what we can barely define for ourselves. I know in my case the pain moves and is hard to describe - even to my doctor.

For me it's a chronic achiness or heaviness. I think it can be different for everyone.

Well that's the problem, Fibromyalgia was a name given by doctors when all symptoms of pain failed to fall into any other category of illness....in other words when the patient complained of muscle pain, and aches all over coupled with severe fatigued and the Dr. did not find any other problem it became fibromyalgia...It's different for everyone, and most Dr.s think that its a psychosomatic illness (not my opinion, just a fact)

in my words, Fibromyalgia is a long-term problem that causes pain in the muscles and soft tissues of your body. You may lack energy or have trouble sleeping. These and other symptoms can be severe enough to affect your work and home life. But fibromyalgia does no permanent damage to your muscles, joints, or organs. it's a syndrome
