Should I Sue My Medicare ?!

Question: For more then two years I was paying MN health care. All of sudden when I got sick this weekend and admitted to the emergency, they cancelled my memership, because I didn't paid the full amounth online on time. I mistakenly paid $36 instead of $ 38 for December and January, they only missing two dollars because of a typo, and they say I'm not covered and I have to wait 4 months to fill a new applications. They even have $36 for Dec-Jan 2008. I know it will be expensive spending two nights at hospital --should I sue them? Is it fair to drop you after being in the hospital -but all this years when you were healthy -they never drop you?

This is sad I know. This is another example of how messed up our insurance/health care system is in this country. Unless you have lots of money you cannot afford to sue them. This happens all the time to people.

you can try to sue, but you won't win. If you didn't pay the right amount, and it wasn't enough, then you blew it, not them.

Really sorry for your situation, but unfortunately, that is all part of the healthcare system. They want us to pay but when they have to pay, its a different story. I doubt that you will find an attorney that will buck the system. I think this falls under the catagory of Experience.
