Help?!?!?!?!?!

Question: Ok so yesterday i had a hockey game and i was skating parral to the boreds and a girl came up to me from the side and pulled my legs in the direction away from the bored then checked me into them and i smashed my head into the boards really hard. It hurt really bad then i had a really bad headache for the rest of the night at my neck hurt as well. It is still pretty painful today. What are the symptoms of a concusion? Is i possible i could have gotten one. (I was wearing a really nice helmet). thanks.

definitely go to a doc and get tested. concussion symptoms are headaches, dizziness, being lightheaded with exercise, blurred vision, blacking out, and nausea. at least those are the main ones. a similar thing happened to me where i went headfirst into the boards and the back of my head hit my shoulders. i was out for a while with the whiplash from my neck, but i didn't get concussed because i hit the boards straight on. but i was very lucky. anytime anything happens with your neck head or back on the ice you want to be incredibly careful, and always get looked at asap. doctors or physios can tell you how long you need to rest and exercises to keep the injuries from plaguing you later, consult them and listen to them, even if it sucks to sit out. i have a friend who ended her hockey career by not listening and being honest with the dos about her concussion.

You should have gone to the doctor... but anyway - did you feel like throwing up at any point? That's a sign of concussion.

you might have just a little bit of whiplash. i know one time in basketball i had a similar injury and it turned out to be a concussion and whiplash. if its not too bad then dont worry about it but if there is excruciating pain then go to the doctors immediately.

yea they are.
you need to get a catscan right away to check for internal bleeding, brain damage, or a cracked skull.
i am currently suffering a concusion now.
you need to get that checked out soon. your doctor can perscribe you a special tylonol3 pill to help ease the pain. it works pretty good with me.
