Jaw popped and now my bite is off from where it normaly was?!

Question: when I try to bite down and push my jaw back to make my bite normal , I get a sharp pain in my ear on the same side that popped a couple of weeks ago. Could this be a dislocated jaw or what? It was a loud pop and people heard it acrossed the room

I'm sure it's not dislocated. You probably wouldnt be able to open and close it. Sounds like you have TMJ / lockjaw. I have TMJ and my jaw pops and feels out of socket esp. when I chew gum, etc... You dentist can give you a mouth guard, physical therapy where they massage your jaw with heat or break your jaw and realign it depending on the severity. For now I saw stay away from chewy stuff. Good luck.

sounds nasty whatever it is
