Cost differs from place to place.
The piercing itself doesn't hurt a bit. I didn't feel the needle go in all 3 times I got mine pierced. The few days after it will be a bit sore, as it swells causing it hard for you to talk without a lisp and eat.
Tongue piercings are very fast healers, so the chance of an infection is low if you have good oral care. If you wear the correct length barbell for YOUR anatomy, the chance of tooth damage is minimal.
pain was unbearable for me. was sick for two months. tongue festered etc.

It doesnt hurt when u get it done but after it can be really sore. Keep plenty of cold drinks to hand and ice to suck on . remember to rinse with salt water after you eat . It is safe enough as long as you go to a qualified piercer ask to see their certificates and make sure they use sterile equipment. You should be fine good luck!
Terrible Terrible pain and possibility of brain damage, infection, permanent injury to glands causing you to drool incessantly. Why would you want to do this and take these chances. Ever see a 60-70-80 year old person with tattoos and piercings? Yeah - kinda disgusting isn't it? Skin wrinkles and that rose tattoo turns into a winkled blob. Think about spending the next 50 years wiping slobber off of your chin every 10 seconds. Let's see - how many wipes would that be? Not to mention having to change your pillow case daily. I have been served food by a person with a lip piercing and totally lost my appetite when I looked up as she was serving the food to see a little drool seeping down. GROSS!! If none of that bothers you then just imagine the pain and the possibility that you could end up losing part of your tongue to infection. All for something so needless. Keep your body parts healthy and go out and perform random acts of kindness. This is the same advice I would give anyone thinking of spending money and wasted hours of their life on vanity.
Tongue piercing is very dangerous. Do you want to end up with impaired speech or a speech impediment?
