Very bad headaches!?!

Question: okay so here's the deal,

recently I'll be perfectly fine but then I'll suddenly get a really bad headache, it hurts at the back of my head and I feel as if the front of my head is throbbing, my eyes feel heavy and I get dizzy. The worst part is that I'll be in a great state but when I suddenly get these headaches I become a huge ***** and I can't control it at all, I can't stand peoples voices and the smallest things make me angry. Oh and by the way this does not happen before or during my period, it happens at any given time. What should I do? (and I try to explain it to people, i.e. my family, but I can't make them understand; I mean come on you try saying: "My headache made me do it".)

Do you ever have any lapse in memory? How long do these episodes last. Have you ever had a head injury? How often do you get these headaches? You may be having some kind of a seizure if your moods are altered during these episodes. I would keep a log of all the frequency, duration, moods for some period of time and then present it to your doctor. The other thing is that maybe your blood sugar is low and you do not know it. How is your diet? Low blood sugar can cause headaches, dizziness and irritability. It is time you go to the doc and have some blood work done. Also, you may want to know some of your family history. Knowing this information may help your doc find out what is going on. Good luck.

You could be suffering from migraines. I suggest getting to the doctor. They have meds to help with severe headaches like this.

If this has lasted more than 2 weeks than you need to consult a doctor so they can do a full work up on you which should be blood test and a MRI.

If you smell any musty smells where you work or live then this could be a mold exposure but mainly other symptoms will follow, also check the CO2 levels in your house, you can go to mainly any hardware/walmart store and buy a kit that detects CO2.

i agree so see a dr. he can determine if they are migraines or a more serious problem. do you ever take something for these headaches? If you decide not to go to the drs I would suggest excedrine for migraines and see if that helps.

How long do they last? Getting dizzy would concern me and I would see a doctor.

You do not have to explain anything right now unless you are trying to use your headache as a justification to be...mean or angry...and take it out on others...

Stop drinking caffiene..if you drink alot and dont have any for a while, in some cases you'll suffer from a sort of "withdrawl" and get a head ache...It happened to me....no caffiene=no headaches

sounds like migrains, try lying down in a dark quiet room and taking Advil to get rid of them, and if they continue for longer than a day then go see a doctor. I use to get them so bad that I couldn't see out of my left eye. But if you go to the doctor they will give you two shots one of a pain killer and one to make you sleep so you can get over the headache
