Did I just have a migraine?!

Question: I had the worst headache ever tonight and it was different than any headache I've ever had in my life (I'm 25).

It started out as a regular headache. I was getting hungry, so I figured maybe my blood sugar was dropping and that was causing it. So, my friend and I stopped for dinner. Immediately after dinner the headache got worse. It was really intense. I then started feeling nauseous and that kept getting more intense as well. When I got home, I actually puked.

My friend said it was probably a migraine, but I've never had them before. Can you just have an isolated migraine, or are they always part of a larger disease/disorder? I'm wondering if this could be the start of something chronic.

I myself have migraines once - twice every month or two. It's been so bad that I've thrown up,, and passed out. My doctor has given me medicine,, but it's pretty strong. I think you can only get it when you start having then regularly. When it only happens occasionally,, the best thing is sleep.

migranes are nothing but bad headaches, and just sleep for about an hour and it's gone

Migraine is when you have a headeche on one side of your head and its a throbbing pain that wont stop above your eye socket and the temple bone of the same side. i had migrains since i was 9 years old and it is usually happens if i skip a meal or i live a very busy day with so much noise. i always experiance sensitivity to light and sound, and i become nasuea if i wait too much to take my medication ( exedrine migraine)
