Bruise? underneath skin below mouth?!

Question: i have a strange dark purple mark around my mouth (painless) that has lasted more than a day now. It all started when I pointlessly decided to stick a mug to my face ( when you suck all the air out and it sticks to your mouth without holding it ) it was just one of those things you do when your bored like playing with a pen or something. Anyway i think i might of put lots of pressure around my mouth or there are burst blood vessels there. Its a dense purple area beneath the skin. The affected areas are beneath my lower lip and chin and there is no marks where the outside of the rim of the mug was. And it is completly painless to touch! no pain at all! I just want it to go away because i look like a ********!
Does anybody know what it is or how i can get rid of it?

and to give you an idea what it looks like. it looks smudged lipstick below my lip and chin!

my brother did this once when we were younger (: it's kind of funny. really all it is, is a hickey. i have hurd silly ways to get rid of hickeys, like brushing it with a comb (lightly i assume) this breaks up the blood vessels. and also icing it.

It sounds like you gave your chin a hickey! It should fade soon.
