What's wrong with my jaw?!

Question: For a while now, my jaw on the right side would sometimes pop. It was like it was popping out of place because it would really hurt for a little while after it popped. Recently within the past month, my jaw has been making a grinding feeling every time I eat and would hurt worst than after it pops. It hasn't popped since this has started, but I'm afraid this grinding is an issue from my jaw popping. I've cut chewing gum and eating really hard foods. So what's going on? Who can I see to fix it or how can I fix it myself?

Sounds like TMJ. Your Temporo -Mandibular Joint (TMJ) is acting up. I believe the best fix can by found through your dentist. They can give you a prosthetic device (think mouthpiece for athletes or retainers) that will retrain the muscles of the joint and stop the popping. The WebMD link below asks some basic questions about TMJ disorders and gives good information on what to do about it.

Maybe you have temporomandibular disease?
I've had that once before and I suffered for a week before it was relieved by itself. Maybe you should go to a clinic quick so you can fix it early!
