What happened to my leg? Hamstring Pull?!

Question: Ok....So you see, i have not been running for a few months due to an injury, Knee injury to be specific. I just started stretching a few weeks ago, and last night, and after i stretched my hamstring, it felt pain the next day. ( I did not run for a few months with my hamstring, so it cant be due to running, just stretching) When i tried to flex the muscles, there was a sharp pain. I Stretched more than usual that day....so i am wondering if it was serious?

Muscle pulls are (relatively) one of the less serious injuries.

For a week or so, really rest that leg. Do ice for the first few days and take ibuprofen the whole time. Even after swelling has gone down, the ice can reduce pain. But it can also stiffen up the muscle and make it harder to move. If that is the problem, try heat. Muscle spasms respond to heat better.

If after a week it doesn't feel better see your Dr.

it is probably a pull. you do not want to stretch it more because it makes it worse. use heat, ice, ect. untill it gets better.

whenever a person stops using a once often-used muscle, it is bound to cause SOME pain. Perhaps you over stretched. in any case, it doesn't sound serious to me. put some sort of heat on it to relax the muscles, then take a pain reliever. Ice compresses are only good if there is swelling involved.
