How can i ease muscle pains?!

Question: i worked really hard on friday night doing gymnastics, then the same for football. on saturday morning my legs and abs hurt like hell, they ached so much cos i didnt do any stretches after football. my arms hurt a little too. i thought they would be a little better this morning, but if anything they were worse. i have tried stretching them and it just hurts a lot. what can i do to ease the soreness?
preferably physio exercises not drugs of some kind. i havent got any money. something that might be found around the house would do though.

You may have over done it you should be sore but not that sore. I would suggest you take a long hot shower or bath. Start gradually moving your legs and arms to a point were you feel slight pain then stop and repeat til you get full movement without pain. A hot water bottle on very sore bits will ease the pain as well.

Hot bath

that heat rub stuff is good. Have a radox bath for muscles soak

There is nothing you can do to ease the pain. However, gentle strtching of the muscles today will ensure the pain isnt there tomorow

Hot bath and advil. The warm water will help relax your muscles so they aren't so sore. Some stretching exercises could help too.

if you were on top of it you shouldn't care about the pain.

try a epsom salt bath. a couple of cups should help to ease the pain. then some moderate stretching , goodness hopes it's not a charley horse situation. good luck. epsom salts available in (should they be called?) drug stores and most other stores.

in short - you over did it! your coach/trainer should be kicked in the butt. The pain comes from damaged muscle fibers, this will take about a week to heal. My advise would be to eat bananas ( contains Calcium + magnesium)
