Bad chest pain from a fall?!

Question: On Friday night I fell pretty much flat on my face but mt chest absorbed the force of the ground. I am having very bad pain in the chest probably on a scale of 1-10 (10 being bad pain) I am feeling an 8. just today my chest srted to turn red and blotchy. The pain is pretty much right in between my cleavage hurts when I pick anything up and when I breath. Is this serious? Did I bruise my breast plate or could I have broken it ?

It's called a sternum, properly, and you probably just have a bad bruise. You may have broken or separated some ribs, yes. Anytime you injure the chest, it will hurt to breathe or move, that's pretty standard. And unfortunately there just isn't any real cure for it. You can't opt not to breathe, and there are no casts for broken ribs- only time and your favorite pain reliever. You can try holding something firm to your chest, but in that particular spot it might be a trick to do. You can also try wrapping the chest with a wide ace wrap, some folks get relief from that, some don't. You can always go to the ER or your doctor for an x-ray, but aside from the bill and a final answer on exactly what is injured, there is still not much they can do for you. I suggest you take some Ibuprofen, and simply try to take life easy. Bruises of the chest take a while longer to heal than other sprains and such because you can't rest the affected part. So expect to be somewhat uncomfortable for a few weeks. It will gradually ease off as things heal.

How did you fall on your chest.

If you are in that much pain you need to go to the doctor. If you broke it badly it could puncture your lung.

go to the hospital, but it's probably just busing

You need to get to the doc. One of the hazards you face right now is pneumonia due to not taking full breaths because of the pain. Whether you broke anything or not...get some chest film and get treated.

Chances are that you bruised or strained your sternum, i don't know how large your breast are, but chances are if you have any size to them whatsoever, then your sternum would probably fall right between them, and the bruising would account for the red and blotchy, as well as making even moderate lifting heavy, i am a guy and encountered a similar problem one time when i was hit baseball in the chest while playing dodge (yeah i know, me and my friends used to play rough games of dodge, we didn't play who got hit, we played who was still standing) LOL, keep some ice on it and update me on your condition by updating your question if it doesnt get better
