My Lipsss feel kinda weird at times... Please help!?!
Question: Recentlyy my lipss have been feeling kinda weird at times.... like they feel kinda stickyy & just a weird senstation in 'emm..... i use plenty of chapstick and they're not really crusty or anything of that sort.... a whiiillee back on my lips, i kinda had this slight white layer n my doctor said its "herpes simplex"... however, i didnt have a MAJOR outbreak or a sore and my lips havent been like that since.......what could be the reason my lips feel that way? is it something to be concerned wit or not..... so far i havent had any sores/blisters on lip...please respond, thanks

You may have the beginning signs of a cold sore/herpes. You are more susceptable to getting them once you've gotten them. Do not share your chapstick with anyone else and try not to use it too frequently. Sometimes stress can give these symptoms as well. It's almost like having an allergic reaction to something. The lips may tingle or slightly swell. It's something we are seeing more and more often in the emergency rooms. It can be serious and should be reported to a physician immediately. Usually an antihistamine like Benadryll will help, but always consult with a physician.
