Has anyone had a partial rotator cup tear, and how long did it take to heal? What!

Question: I had a partial supraspinatus tear. I had the arthroscopic surgical repair. I was off work for 3 months. Light duty for 8 months. I had 3 months of physical therapy prior to the surgery with no improvement. (This is why I had the surgery.) The pain was gone after about 2 weeks. It just took a long time to strengthen it.

Not a fun recovery. Some don't ever recover. But at least I'm not awoken in the middle of the night with the pain anymore.

Yes, and it can take months to heal....if it does.
If not, surgery can be the only other help.

i didn't get a real diagnosis, but def. had rotator cuff damage (from throwin a football with my wrong arm) it took a year, til pain/symptoms were completely gone. if you really have a tear, see dr.
