Why does the weather affect the arthritic joints?!

Question: It is air pressure, barometer readings. The fluid in the joints is like the oil in a car engine. The colder the weather, the drop in air pressure, the thicker the oil. The warmer the weather, the higher the air pressure, the thinner the oil. It is easier to move joints with thin oil, than joints with thick oil. Good Luck

it has something to do with barometric pressure and the fluids in your joints..

I know this sounds simple, but changes in barometric pressure are actual changes in air pressure. the increase/decrease in pressure affects the more sensitive joints and nerve endings in arthritic people.

I don't really have an answer but can I tell you what I do for arthritic pain...I lay in a tanning bed!!! The heat from it does wonders but lots of people have concerns about going to the tanning bed.It helps my pain alot!
