Even if it's broken, the doctors aren't going to do anything for it. Unfortunately, the pinky toe isn't very useful and there isn't a lot a doctor can do to improve your situation. Keep ice on it, and wrap it in an ace bandage. The bruising is natural, and looks worse now than it actually is. If the pain and color haven't improved in a week or so, THEN go to the doctor. I promise, if you go before then, you're going to end up having spent money on the appointment with little results. Also, try taking two Ibuprofen together with two Tylenol. The combination seams to work better for the pain than taking one or the other.

actually even if you did break your toe the doctor will not do anything about it. you don't get a cast or a bandage or anything. just some pain pills and that's it. it's really not even worth going to the doctor. and after about a week and a half it won't hurt at all. broken toes heal very quickly.

awwwwwwwww i sorry you broke your toe, dont really understand the question though, just take it ez till friday:)

Yes thats normal. Put some cotton wool inbetween the broke pinkie and unbroke pinkie the put tape or a small bandge round the two pinkies, that make shift splint will be fine until you see your doc.

The longer you wait to go to the doctor the worse it can get. The broken pinky will start connecting and it has to be in the correct place. It has happened to me, too... It was very painful and swollen for 6 weeks :(

That happened to me last year and as allie said, the doctor didn't do anything. I think it was 6 to 8 weeks before the pain was completely gone.

sounds like it broken as i had exactly the same thing when i broke mine, sadly dr will not do anything to toes

I have a broken pinky toe right now... I did it back in August during gymnastics, I didn't think anything of it and just kept going without telling anyone. After a while the pain went away, but I am pretty sure it is still broken because when I squeeze it, it hurts but that is the only way to make it hurt. So I would say that you are ok... just take some pain killers like Ibuprofen to keep the pain and swelling down. Also, you should use the RICE method... R= rest I= ice C= compression and E= elevation. For the compression, you really can't compress it but you can buddy tape it. Just tape the pinky toe to the next toe as a support. This is basically what the doctor will tell you anyway. But I hope you feel better, I don't think the pain will last longer than a few weeks, I hope this helps.
