Yes I was starting my chainsaw and it slipped and smacked me in the head. Good thing it never started. It knocked me out could and I just laid in the woods for a while. I had a bloody nose and mouth when I came to.
i was cutting limbs off of a tree and a limb came down and destroyed the ladder i was standing on. i hung on to the chainsaw with one arm the other kept me dangling from the tree. the weight of the chainsaw kept my finger depressed on the trigger so i had to maneuver it and myself away from each other because it was going ferociously. i managed without sustaining any injuries, we can call it a near miss!
Well one day, me and my friends where travelling through the woods, and we got lost. So we went to this house and knocked on the door, no one was home. So we went back to our car, and it did not start. Well we started a search party for help, then we lost one of our friends. So we broke into the house and looked for a phone. But there was one room that was locked, and it sounded like there was something electronic inside. So we tried to break the door down, and there was a chainsaw weilding madman in the room killing our friend. Then the guy took my friend. I was the only survivor.
I was cutting the ball of roots of the base of a tree that was suspended from the bucket of a tractor. When the root ball fell off the tree, it became top heavy and went upside down.
I had just turned away when this happened, didn't see it and the branches knocked me to the ground. In the process I brought the chainsaw across my kneecap. Luckily it had slowed way down and I ended up with only 8 stitches.
Dr. told me it was the "best" chainsaw accident he'd ever been involved with, as most of them are very destructive and are full of dirt and wood chips.
