Have you pulled/tore your muscles while stretching? How long did you need to rec!

Put ice on it and take Advil for about 2 weeks.

Depending on how fast you heal. You decide when your hip feels better. I had this problem with my ankel. I overstretched it and could do anything for about 2 1/2 weeks.

To not pull a muslce again, jog for about a minute or two and then stretch. Do not stretch for more than 20 seconds a stretch.

I only stretch for about 10 seconds, but I do two sets for each stretch, it works.

till it doesn't hurt as much when u got hurt, were ur close to doing it again but still stains just a little
depends how bad you got it and how fast ur body takes the healing

not sure but some advice is to do static stretching after your muscles are warm. a good time for this is after your workout.
