How to relax my mind so that i can fall asleep?!

I used to have these kind of problems all the time. I know it is hard. Here are some ways that work for me my friends and all my family! :)

1. You could use a sleep aid (I don't like them though)
2. Don't look at the clock!( It makes your worry about how much sleep your body is going to get)
3. Don't drink caffine or eat food that has a lot of sugar in it.
4. Don't let your mind race! (Keep your thought on one thing)
5. Pray to God (This always helps me. If you have a prayer that is really long that you like then say it and it really helps.)
6. Take yogo breathes. (breath in and out as big and slowly as prosible for 10 times)(that is said by doctors to relax people)
7. Try to only get a certain amount of sleep a night. Don't always go to bed at different times. (it is sorta like a yoyo diet. Up and Down so try to get into a rutine)
8. Try doing something like reading a book or doing a crosswork puzzle to help.

I hope I helped. These things work. They might not all work for you but I will garentee that at least one of them will .~~~ Good luck with sleeping.

If you're having trouble sleeping...you should see a doctor and have sleep tests done. Try to drink "smooth tea" and see if that helps. Alot of natural teas help. Good Luck!

before, for some reason, i couldnt sleep too!
i forgot how to make it stop, but just think of the wonderful things you did on that day~
and just think about it and soon u will fall alseep!

well you can go to the chemist and buy kalms,they do these for day and night tablets and are very good.also try listening to soothing music,to switch off your mind from daily issues that you may be worrying about.
you can also try valerina tablets these you can also purchase at the chemist,all these are natural ingredient herbal tablets.

I've read recently that if you take a minute and write down everything you're thinking/worrying about it allows you to put it aside for the time being and get some sleep. I would also recommend reading for a half hour even if you don't remember anything in the book or it's boring, it makes your eye lids tired from keeping them open to read, no blinking. It also gets you thinking about the book instead of what's stressing you out in life. My only other suggestion would be to take a really hot shower and climb into your nice warm bed and fall asleep in your robe. Good luck and just try to let whatever is bothering you go, it's not so bad.

There a few things you can do to fall asleep.
Listen to classical music..It relaxes your mind and thus making you feel like sleeping.
Or..
Take out a book on a topic which bores you to death..Read the whole articale on it and you will fall asleep because you dont like the topic or subject.
If not, try breathing in and out deeply and close your eyes, think about something beautiful and sweet and slowly fall asleep.=)

drink hot milk

count sheep

think of relaxin stuff

read a long winded book while in bed, you'll doze off...something like Joyces "ulysseus or Sound and the fury by Faulkner...both snoozers

See your doctor and ask for .25 mg Xanax--those are the smallest dose available.
I wouldn't eat them like candy, but for the occasional night when you can't shut your brain off, they work wonders. They're not physically addictive, although more than 2 or 3 a day could certainly become psychologically addictive.

And this particular breathing exercise is called Anulomb-Vilomb.
With your right thumb press right nostril gently and breath in from left nostril.
Now with middle and ring finger of right hand close left nostril and exhale from right nostril. Do this 2-step exercise for 10-15 minutes...if you can do more then no harmfull sideeffects.
You will feel very relaxed and fall asleep.
