That happened to me once. You might have to go to a professional piercer to get him to put it back in.
You could try putting some petroleum jelly (Vaseline) on the jewelry. If its a nostril piercing press your thumb against the inside of your nostril and push the jewelery through from the outside. Also make sure you have a good light source so you can find the piercing.

Think of your nose like a glass of water, what happens when you put that glass of water in the freezer? It expands
So if you apply something cold to your nose its most likely going to expand. The best thing that you could do is find some Vitim an E oil, or some other type of oil based lubricant, and apply it to your nose ring. And slide it through, the pain should only be mild. Hope it works as well as it did for my sister.
