How to not need sleep?!

Question: I'm in college, and it seems many people around me function very well off 3hrs or so of sleep each night. I can't seem to function without at least 7-9. What should I do? (Does weight, eating, etc have anything to do with this?)

If they are getting 3 hours a night, they are either liars, or are napping during the day. Your a mammal, and mammals sleep. Don't feel guilty, get a good night's sleep. I'd rather have alert students than sleepy ones.

some people need more sleep than others...i'm 17 and i get around 3-4 hrs of sleep every night without um...napping

u have to sleep, it helps you to function better during the day.

You can probably get by with 6 a night until the weekend; one day during the week maybe with 3. However, it will catch up with you.

One thing that helps: people tend to sleep in 90-minute chunks, so don't try to catch 4 hours of sleep or you will be sound asleep when the alarm goes off. Another thing: make your sleep count. Eat a few carbs before hitting the sack; do something to relax. Drop the lights, put on some music, and just chill for 15-20 minutes if you can.

good luck... missing sleep is the part of college that sucks, but you can tolerate SOME of it.

Different people are different. My boyfriend can function on 2-3 hours of sleep and I need 7-8 hours. You could get yourself use to less and less sleep but it is not very healthy for you.

dun do that unless you will mess with your pineal gland which you will regret later... stay healthy.. get some healthy sleep
besides you are a women... you dont want to look very unsexy... yes... not enough sleeping will give you eyes bag... dried skin and kind aa unattractive looking... always tired and sleepy... is that what you want?
